Troy has been a troubadour for many years, starting with early bands like Wheeler and Junior's Highway project, out of New Brunswick. He joined the successful Nova Scotia rock group Alert the Medic 15 years ago and has toured the world with them, releasing several award-winning rock albums with the group, which still plays the occasional high profile gig.
