Grand Opening for the Berwick & District Edible Courtyard Garden Project is on May 15th, 2011 in conjunction with the Compost Council of Canada's 20th Anniversary. It will be held at Berwick & District School in the Courtyard, around back of the school from, 1 - 4pm. There will be demonstrations on composting, recycling, benefits of gardening with kids, and Community Supported Agriculture. The Berwick & District School cafeteria will be catering Homemade Soups & dessert made with local produce, and cider donated by the Compost Council of Canada. A work party will start at 3 pm and all are welcome to join! Come out and learn about planting a vegetable in your garden for soup next winter. Hosted by the Edible Garden Group! All in Kinf Donations will be accepted! Hope to see you there in support of such a great cause!
