November is SoupFest!
SoupFest is both an event and a month long celebration of flavour and kindness. Participating restaurants and cafes are donating a portion of November soup sales to support the work and expanding reach of the Community Soup Kitchen in Kentville and the Middleton Community Outreach Centre. Participating restaurants are:
Angie's (Middleton)
Callister's Country Kitchen (Coldbrook)
Cumin (New Minas)
Diner's Delight (Coldbrook)
The Capital Pub (Middleton)
The Church Brewing Company (Wolfville)
Maritime Express Cider (Kentville)
The Naked Crepe (Wolfville)
Oaken Barrel Pub (Greenwood)
Old Orchard Inn (Greenwich)
Paddy's (Kentville)
Paddy's (Wolfville)
Wheelhouse Coffee Co. (Kentville)
And on November 21st, ten of our supporting restaurants will gather for a fun and yummy soup testing competition at the Kentville Fire Hall.
You get to taste and vote on soups made by local restaurants and cafes. Come support a great cause and watch your favourite restaurants compete for titles such as Best Soup, Most Creative Soup and Best Display as voted by you.
Cost: Adults $12, Seniors $10, Children (under 12yrs) $6
Three weekly meals are provided from each of our outreach locations by dedicated community volunteers and all funds raised from SoupFest go to these and other food programming and supports.
