Ruth Manning and the Prospectors formed as a band in the fall of 2016 and have been playing dances, festivals, and various shows around the province ever since. Band members include Joel LeBreton on lead guitar and vocals, Andy Quinlan on bass and vocals, and Scott Redden on drums. Ruth Manning headlines the band and plays acoustic guitar and piano. The group has a tight sound with three-part harmony. They will keep you dancing to a mix of up-beat country, rock and 50s/60s music as well as many of Ruth’s original songs. Ruth has won several songwriting awards in the past year and has performed here at home as well as in Nashville. Ruth was inducted into the Nova Scotia Country Music Hall of Fame in 2022.
