ART CAMP: March Break 2024
Drawing from Nature with Becky Thompson

March 11-15, 2024, 9:30 am - 12 pm

--Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7-10 year olds
--Tuesday, Thursday: 11-14 year olds

DESCRIPTION
Using nature as our inspiration, we will explore different methods of drawing using sticks, found objects and a wide range of art materials.

Students will create a range of drawings, then choose one to develop with colour using paint, pastel and collage. Fun!

WHAT TO BRING
-All art materials are included in the cost.
-Do bring a snack and beverage.
-Dress for a mess! Please, wear a painting shirt.

Children must pre-register for the full series.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Becky Thompson is a certified art educator and has taught art for children of all ages (pre-school through secondary) in schools throughout Nova Scotia She is also a practicing artist who has exhibited her own work widely.

Becky is an ethusiastic and charismatic artist and teacher. She enjoys challenging children to find a method to communicate their ideas and experiences through the visual arts.
