As part of this 4-week hands-on class, you will learn rhythms and songs from West Africa, drumming technique for playing the djembe (a goblet-shaped drum), as well as call, breaks and basic arrangements. You will play along with others.
Instruction provided by Bruno Allard with Djugdjug Ensemble. No prior experience is needed, and the class is for all levels. Drums (specifically djembes) are provided, but if you have your own, you get a discount!
It starts Saturday afternoon, March 23 for a duration of 4 weeks.
