The Annapolis Valley Honour Choir will be performing their Spring Concert, “I Have Had Singing”, at West Kings High School Auditorium.
In this final performance of the year, under the direction of Heather Fraser and accompanist Krissy Keech, the program explores music from all over the world. It features an Iroquois soundscape, a visit to South America, Irish and Appalachian folk songs, as well as popular “spring time” pieces by Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Billy Joel and Eva Cassidy.
This youth choir is comprised of up to 60 students from Grade 7 – 12 from throughout the Annapolis Valley. Since 1988, this instructional music program emphasizes musical and vocal training through choral music experiences. It exists to enrich the artistic lives of its members, their families, and the community they serve.
All are welcome to support the Annapolis Valley Honour Choir in performance.
