A community conversation on the housing crisis.
The conversation will be moderated by Kentville Town Councillor, Gillian Yorke, with an expert panel that includes Claudia Chender, Leader Nova Scotia New Democratic Party; Alisha Christie, Member, Homeless No More Initiative, Matt Jennings, Former Chair, Board of Directors, Open Arms; and John MacKay, Wolfville Realtor and business owner.
We know that having access to a safe, secure and affordable home is a deeply important matter for all Nova Scotians. For too many it is now beyond reach. Our goal is to host a useful community discussion on the housing crisis, one that brings the concerns and questions of citizens, and the voices of experts, to the same room. We hope it will help each of us think more fully and clearly about a calamity that threatens communities and lives here in the Valley and throughout our country.
