The Kentville Mural Festival is a free three-day mural festival organized by Kentville Business Community with support from the Town of Kentville, and Nova Scotia’s Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism & Heritage.
Four murals, varying in styles, will be created across Main St Kentville, creating a vibrant and colorful space for people to walk and explore. With an open pallet of potential themes, mural instalments from our 4 artist will range from pieces paying homage to our veterans who’s dedication made a sister town for
Kentville in Germany, to pieces that emphasize respecting our ecosystem through traditional teachings.
Ease of access to our online Mural Maps will be available through a QR code so attendees can observe the creation of the new murals, as well as locate the pre-existing murals around town. Many participatory activities take place in Centre Square on Saturday, July 20th, 11am to 3pm including an opening ceremony where attendees can meet the artists, creative activities facilitated by Ross Creek Centre for the Arts, Public Mural Canvases will be hosted by Valley Pride, lawn games, and chalk art. Activity spaces and live music in Centre Square will round out the celebrations.
