"I've been a working artist all my life and I'm in my 70th year now. The twists and turns of this practice are written in the images I've created. Expressing the moment in dancing shadows on walls, the passing of time by noting the seasonal shifts, creating huge dramatic worlds for the stage or tiny Polaroid emulsions of time and places of the past, my personal deep familial past."
---
Karen has worked freelance as a draftsman, a graphic designer, a technical illustrator and a private art teacher. She sold her watercolours in various venues and galleries around Ontario, the southern USA and most notably, in Bermuda.
Karen has painted English and French theatre sets, at the National Arts Center in Ottawa. She has also helped to create new exhibits in venues at the CBC, CJOH, CTV, the Museums of Nature and Civilization, as well as for the Museum of Federation, and Science and Technology and the National Gallery.
Born in Canada, her work is collected at home, the United States, Bermuda and Europe.
Find Karen’s work at the Flight of Fancy Art Gallery in Bear River and the Teichert Gallery in the Nova Scotia Gallery of Art, Halifax. She can be reached at her Bear River Studio [email protected].
