Canadian artist Duane Nickerson will present a wide-ranging overview of landscape painting in art traditions ranging from ancient Egyptian tomb murals to Northern Baroque landscape works to 20th Century Canadian art. In this presentation Nickerson will make links to the human desire to generate meaning through images and the close relationship we have to natural forms. The artist will link his observations to the motives that drive his studio practice.
