Join Claudia Chender, Leader of Nova Scotia’s Official Opposition, for a town hall on how the decisions of the Houston government are impacting you and your community.
Without warning or conversation, the Houston government has dropped long-standing bans on fracking and uranium mining. Now hundreds of Nova Scotians are left to worry about their property rights, the safety of their well-water, and their communities.
This isn’t the first time the Houston government has pushed its own agenda. This government has also given the minister the power to decide what gets funded and taught in our province’s universities and colleges.
When times are tough, governments should make things easier– not add to your anxiety about the future. Elected leaders can never be allowed to ignore the people they were meant to serve.
That’s why Claudia Chender, Leader of Nova Scotia’s Official Opposition, is touring the province this summer, hearing from everyday Nova Scotians about the challenges they’re facing in their community, and how we can work together towards solutions that will work for everyone.
