Doors open at 9:30am
The Wolfville Legion is being honored by Gambling Risk Informed Nova Scotia (GRINS) with presentation of a plaque to acknowledge their courageous decision to remove Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) from their premises, creating a safer and more social environment for our community.
Since removing the gambling machines and focusing on social events and connection with the community, the Legion has eight times as many members, showing that community well-being and organizational success can go hand in hand.
The presentation will be held during the Legion's weekly coffee gathering - a free will donation will get you a bottomless cup of coffee/tea, sweet treats and a warm welcome.
