Sally Davies, is a multidisciplinary artist working primarily on canvas and film. She studied illustration and graphic design at Sheridan College, Ontario, and has illustrated magazines, posters, menus, text books, and children's books for many years. Recently, she shifted her interest to large canvases, printmaking, and creating films.
Sally was awarded the PGAHC Fellowship Grant (2021), a MSAC (Arts Council) Creativity Award (2021 & 2023), a MSAC Individual Artist Award (2019), and numerous awards at international film festivals and juried exhibits. Her solo exhibit “Our Fractured Life” at the Torpedo Factory Arts Center (Alexandria, Virginia) was favorably reviewed in the Washington Post (May 29, 2022). Sally is a juried member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society, Potomac Valley Watercolorists, and The Children's Book Guild of Washington.
Sally shares her art studio in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, with her two cats, Nutmeg & Miss Lucy.
