Thrilling Canadian pianist Tong Wang is a dynamic artist whose work spans styles, genres, and communities. A prizewinner of the International Chopin Golden Ring Competition and recipient of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal of Performing Arts, she has performed with the Edmonton and Red Deer Symphony Orchestras, toured internationally, and brought music to schools, senior homes, and hospitals.
Beyond the stage, Tong is deeply engaged in social and cultural initiatives. She has led multimedia projects, co-founded innovative ensembles, and launched the Windwood Music Festival to bring chamber music into rural communities. Her creative performances often weave together music, storytelling, and visual art to explore themes of identity, culture, and connection.
