"Scott Henderson and Ashlyne MacRae form a traditional and contemporary acoustic duo whose work is grounded in the study and performance of Celtic music within both vernacular and formal settings. A multi‑instrumentalist with more than three decades of professional experience, Scott performs on uilleann pipes, Highland pipes, Scottish smallpipes, border pipes, wooden flute, whistles, bouzouki, and guitar.
Ashlyne MacRae is a graduate of the Canadian College of Performing Arts and an award‑winning fiddler and dancer whose training includes mentorship from leading Cape Breton and Scottish tradition‑bearers. A former Canadian Highland Dance Champion with national and international distinctions, she brings a nuanced understanding of the relationship between music and dance, phrasing and pulse, to her fiddle playing. Together, Henderson and MacRae deliver driving tune medleys, haunting slow airs, and foot stomping finales, offering an intimate yet high impact Celtic experience for concerts, festivals, and listening rooms."
