Pack your folding chairs and grab your free tickets on Eventbrite—the Makers Swap is returning this September!
This money-free community gathering welcomes all ages, skills, and experience levels. The concept is simple: bring anything you’ve made, grown, or a service you can offer, and trade it for treasures made by others.
Please Note: Plan to arrive on time so you can set up your items on the table and be ready to go when we kick off right at the start time.
How the Swap Works
Bring What You Can: Share whatever you are comfortable giving, whether it's one item or a dozen.
The Common Table: All items are placed on a shared central table. After spending time chatting and getting to know fellow makers, everyone takes turns selecting items from the table, one at a time, until choices are complete.
What to Bring: Home baked goods, preserves, pickles, garden produce, house plants, soaps, jewellery, woodwork, art, or dog treats. You can also trade service vouchers for things like haircuts, massages, or home-cooked meals.
Community Pantry Donations
Help support the local community pantry this September by bringing a few non-perishable or fresh items to donate at 51 Lawrencetown Lane.
Pantry Staples: Crackers, rice, pasta, pasta sauce, mac and cheese, canned meats, vegetables, and canned pasta.
Fridge Staples: Milk, cream, margarine, yogourt, and cheese.
