The Ken Shorley Trio's music is "energetic, intimate, acoustic, and groove-centric".
This concert will be an unamplified, all-percussive show, featuring original compositions for hand drums and percussion instruments from around the globe. Led by percussionist-composer Ken Shorley, the Trio also features the musical talents of Adam Campbell and Daniel Morphy from Toronto.
The instrumentation is diverse, but focuses mainly on hand-percussion (including darabuka, riq, frame drums, caxixi, gongs and bells).
