Opening Reception
George describes his work as organic. Each piece is constructed spontaneously and intuitively with no predetermined image in mind. "Colours and textures are manipulated until my paintings achieve what I recognize as a presence or energy of their own."
Unplanned combinations of the basic elements of George's art - his materials, textures, washes and glazes, allow for unforeseen effects. In George's desire to escape from his own preconceptions, he has succeeded in achieving elemental rhythms and vibrations in his paintings.
ELEMENTAL is on view in the Lower Gallery at Harvest Gallery from October 24th to November 23rd
