Come celebrate the International Year of Cooperatives with a Market Meal and Family Film Night in Wolfville.
The Wednesday night market suppers during the Wolfville Farmers’ Market have become a delicious tradition - $10 buys you a plate with salad and bread, and gives you $10 in Market Dollars to spend at any vendor for your meal. Members of Co-ops and their families get $2 off the $10 Market Meal; admission to all films is free.
The Market meal runs from 4 – 7 pm at the Wolfville Farmers’ Market off Elm Avenue, Wolfville. Special cooperative activities for families will be organized, and information on a variety of cooperatives will be on display.
For this special celebration of Valley Cooperatives, the Acadia Cinema Coop is inviting everyone to enjoy a selection of documentary films on the impacts of cooperatives and a screening of family-oriented animated film shorts from the award-winning collection of the National Film Board.
The film program will run in rotation every hour at the Al Whittle Theatre at 450 Main Street, Wolfville, beginning at 4 pm.
