Everyone in the Annapolis Valley can now enjoy what a lucky few got to experience when Led Zeppelin took the stage at London’s O2 Arena in December 2007. Led was the headliner of a tribute concert for Atlantic Records founder & friend, Ahmet Ertegun. What followed was a two-hour tour de force of the band’s signature blues-infused-rock which instantly became part of the continuing legend of Led Zeppelin.
Founding members John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page & Robert Plant, joined by Jason Bonham (son of their late drummer John Bonham), performed 16 songs from their celebrated catalogue including landmark tracks “Ramble On,” “Dazed and Confused,” “Whole Lotta Love,” “Kashmir” and, of course, “Stairway To Heaven.”
Though some 20 million people applied for tickets, the band’s first headline show in 27 years was seen by only the 18,000 who were fortunate enough to have secured seats through the worldwide ticket lottery.
Finally – after getting Jimmy Page’s long-awaited consent to release the material – fans are able to get ‘best seats’ to experience this historic event in glorious high definition with incredible Dolby surround sound, right here ... @ the Whittle. If you’re a Led Zepp fan, you’re going to love this!
