Opening Receptions:

"We Belong to These Rivers" a group exhibition curated by shalan joudry in the Chapel Gallery and "Water Prayer", Kadijah Photiades' exhibit in the Mym Gallery.

The reception will open with a Mi'kmaw Honour Song and Kadijah Photiades' Earth Song.

Kadijah will be reading her interactive story titled, "The Effects of Global Warming on Faeries". The book will be left in the Mym Gallery and is interactive in that it invites anyone who feels inclined, to illustrate the book (all ages welcome to participate) and also to be part of the collective problem solving at the end of the book, regarding the solutions for counteracting or diminishing global warming.

Mi'kmaw Storytelling for children & families
Then shalan will offer a workshop in Mi'kmaw storytelling outside for children/families - no need to register, just be at the opening!
