Join award-winning songwriter and musician Ian Sherwood for a non-stop night of music and entertainment!
Sherwood is a story teller. And his stories of loss, joy, regret and reward are often painted with the backdrop of Canadian landscapes. He is a constant creator and has penned tunes for many other artists as well as film and television. In 2012 he was named Male Artist of the Year by the International Acoustic Music Awards for his song “What Am I Doing Here”. He was the 2008 and 2010 Music Nova Scotia Musician Of The Year and has been described as “... a natural performer, a highly personable guy who entertains as much with his wit and stories as with his songs.” - Bob Mersereau, CBC Fredericton.
Starting his music career as an in-demand saxophone player in Toronto, Sherwood began looking for an outlet for his poetic side. Soon, with words and music coming together in full compliment, he quickly gained recognition as a solid performer, lyricist and player which garnered him a nomination for the 2011 ECMA award for Male Solo Artist Recording of the Year.
“Live at The Hive” is the latest musical creation from this prolific broken-heart. His energetic stage presence and honesty truly captures the essence of what has made Ian so popular with his audience.
