Thursday September 12, 2013  7pm - 10:30pm (3 Hours 30 Minutes)
Music

Presented by Jenn Grant Music
 (902) 542- 9511

One of the hardest working artists in this country, Jenn is set to hit the road this fall, bringing with her a batch of new material that she has written for her next album! Jenn is excited to share her new songs with fans. Jim Bryson will kick off the evening as Jenn’s special guest. Thoughtful of the stage, Jenn will be introducing her audience to the gorgeous artwork of fellow Haligonian installation based printmaker Charley Young, using one of Charlie’s pieces of work as the backdrop throughout her tour.

Grant’s intuitive ability to express emotion has helped to define her as one of Canada’s premiere vocalists. A Juno nominee, she has released four albums to date, beginning with Orchestra To The Moon in 2007. Her most recent, and first US released record, The Beautiful Wild, won the 2013 ECMA POP Recording of the year. On this album, her prismatic, iridescent voice sparkles over adventurous layers of harp, sitar and flute.

Recently, a new side project titled AquaAlta, has been revealed which is a recording project and collaboration between Charles Austin (Superfriendz) and Graeme Campbell. Known for their co production on several Buck 65 albums, on which Grant co wrote several songs with Buck 65, including Paper Airplane.

Jenn has performed across North America, Europe, Japan and Australia and is excited to be kicking off a fall of fantastic shows back home in Canada!
