Opening & Talk
Tibetan refugees, young undocumented Burmese artists, ethnic hill tribe women, and community workers in rural Burma exhibit photographs of monks, mountains, family and friends September 15 – October 13 in the Chapel Gallery at ARCAC.
The Tilestons will be presenting a slide show during the opening on Sunday, September 15, at 2:30 pm
The photographers were part of the 8th annual MY STORY photo project in Thailand, Burma , and northern India run by Nathaniel and Susan Tileston. Working with community based organizations, the project gives entry-level digital cameras and basic photo instruction to refugees, undocumented workers, and internally displaced people as a way of giving a voice to those who might not otherwise be heard.
The MY STORY photo project is a registered Canadian charity.
