Water is the basis of our life here on Earth. Clean, fresh water is required by all living things. The Groundswell project aims to connect with community members & groups to allow for community-based monitoring of local groundwater resources. The project will also offer information about local aquifer health to community leaders, and encourage sustainable decisions to be made by local governments and community groups on water stewardship, management, and protection.

Jennifer West, the Ecology Action Centre’s Geoscience & Groundwater Coordinator, is coming to Wolfville to present the Groundswell project to those interested in being involved. This project will establish baseline data of water levels around Nova Scotia. Please join us to learn how you can get involved with groundwater stewardship!
