After receiving a sweepstakes letter in the mail, a cantankerous father (current Oscar nomineee, Bruce Dern, giving “the performance of his career”) thinks he's struck it rich, and wrangles his son (Will Forte) into taking a road trip to claim the fortune. “What's extraordinary is what happens at the intersection of [Alexander] Payne's impeccable direction and [Bob] Nelson's brilliant script.
