ARTs Unleashed! brings nine days of unbridled visual, literary, culinary and performing arts, themed tours and more in Annapolis Royal August 16 through 24.
The winning films for the VIDEO 3.5 Youth FilmFest will be premiered at the VIDEO 3.5 Award Screenings. Entertainment and screenings that showcase the imagination and engagement of young video artists in the Annapolis Valley and Southwest Nova guarantee digital entertainment for all the family. Prizes in all categories and an Audience Choice Award will be awarded to the winners.
The second day of the Paint the Town weekend continues which attracts over 70 artists a year who flock to the spectacularly beautiful Annapolis Royal, where they will paint, sculpt, carve and photograph their way around the town. Their finished work will be displayed at the Royal Canadian Legion and sold by silent auction Sunday evening. Festival-goers get to watch the artists at work during the day, then view and bid on the newly finished paintings.
Twitter - twitter.com/ArtsUnleashed and visit our Pop Up Information Centre and Gallery at 396 St. George Street in Annapolis Royal.
Most events are free, but scheduled tours, events at the Historic Gardens, and performances at The Kings Theatre require an admission fee. Charges vary by event and venue. Visit town businesses to see work by local artists.
