A compelling performer on stage, and a recording tour de force, David Myles headlines the Tournament of King’s Tee Up Concert on Friday, September 12.
Myles has seen his career skyrocket since his debut album in 2005. A JUNO and multi ECMA award-winner, he must be running out of places to store his growing mountain of trophies which include a SOCAN Folk/Roots Music prize, MMVA Video of the Year, Indie Music Award - Collaboration of the Year, and “Best-Selling Rap Single in Canadian History” for “Inner Ninja”.
His new double album, In the Nighttime, gives listeners a musical ride with two very different personae. Disc One is a full-length album packed with an infectious blend of classic pop, romantic folk and sultry jazz. Disc Two offers a six-song EP of contemporary, beat-laden tracks produced by hip hop artist Classified. Each album creates a distinct mood. Both are driven by outstanding songwriting and smooth vocals.
