Filmed over 12 years with the same cast, Richard Linklater's story is seen through the eyes of Mason (Ellar Coltrane), who literally grows up on screen. With Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette (parents) and Lorelei Linklater (sister Samantha), the film charts the rocky terrain of childhood in a groundbreaking film set to a time- sensitive soundtrack, from Coldplay’s “Yellow” to Arcade Fire's “Deep Blue”.
