The romantic desolation of Detroit: An underground musician, Adam, (Tom Hiddleston), deeply depressed by human activity, reunites with his resilient and enigmatic lover, Eve (Tilda Swinton) in from Tangier. Their love story has already endured centuries, but their debauched idyll is disrupted by Eve’s uncontrollable sister, Ava (Mia Wasikowska).
