The romantic desolation of Detroit: An underground musician, Adam, (Tom Hiddleston), deeply depressed by human activity, reunites with his resilient and enigmatic lover, Eve (Tilda Swinton) in from Tangier. Their love story has already endured centuries, but their debauched idyll is disrupted by Eve’s uncontrollable sister, Ava (Mia Wasikowska). Can these wise but fragile outsiders survive as the modern world collapses? With stellar performances from Hiddleston and Swinton, Jim Jarmusch adds a typically offbeat entry to the vampire genre.
