Humour, intelligence and sensitivity tackle weighty issues as John Michael McDonough returns with a superbly written, darkly funny and powerfully moving mystery set in a sleepy coastal Irish village. Father James (Brendan Gleeson in a brilliant performance) is a good priest facing sinister and troubling circumstances from a mysterious parish member. While comforting his daughter and reaching out to church members with their scurrilous moral, often comic issues, he feels evil forces closing in. Will he have the courage to face his own personal Calvary?
