An endearing adaptation of the bestseller, this sometimes dark, often colourful comedy of unexpected surprises tells the unlikely tale of Allan Karlsson, a retired dynamite expert who escapes from a nursing home on his 100th birthday to embark on a hilarious journey—soon involving a suitcase stuffed with cash, a psychotic gangster and an elephant.
