Edalene Theatre with special arrangement with MTI presents 9 To 5 The Musical. Directed by Kerri Leier with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton, music direction by Melissa Vidito and book by Patricia Resnick, 9 to 5 based on the seminal 1980 hit movie. Set in the late 1970s this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking, and even a little romantic.
Pushed to the breaking point, three female co-workers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. While Hart remains "otherwise engaged," the women break through the glass ceiling and take control of the company that had always kept them down. This hilarious high energy show is brought to life with fantastic choreography from Alexa Ewert, and promises to be a jubilant toe-tapping ride that will touch the heart and tickle your funny bone.
