Atlantic Canada’s only summer contemporary dance festival runs from August 20 through August 23 and features performances by Canada’s top companies and dancers.
Program 2: Toronto’s Coleman Lemieux & Compagnie dance James Kudelka’s popular work The Man in Black, inspired by country and western great Johnny Cash. Another audience favorite, Company of Angels returns to the Festival with Dancing in the Third Act. Randy Glynn’s poignant and funny piece about growing old premiered in Annapolis Royal in 2013, opened two major Canadian dance festivals and ran with a new cast in Orillia in 2014 and again in 2015 as a City of Toronto Signature Project.
