“I founded our meetup with questions of who are we; what we are doing here? Non-duality principles were to be a philosophical foundation, but not the main or the only topic of discussion. I wanted to take that approach, as many people turning to the spiritual path were disillusioned with traditional, hierarchical, patriarchal, organized religions. The first session of 2016, will be a discussion devoted to prayer. What is it? What is it called in the different traditions and how have these different traditions practiced this form of connection with All That There IS? Is prayer meaningful to you? Why? How do you practice prayer? Come and share with friends this essential tool of Be~ing.
I will bring along a cassette tape & player for a short, but essential sermon by Unity Toronto's, Rev. James Sherman, from 2004. He's quite a guy to listen too, with passion up the yin/yang! ***Unity Church is one of Christianity's 35,000 denominations. Unity was founded in 1889 by a husband and wife team from Kansas; Myrtle & Charles Fillmore. Unity is self-described as practical Christianity.
