As part of a weekend-long celebration of the life and art of Maud Lewis, please join King's Film Society and ArtsPlace for an afternoon of lectures and presentations.

Everyone is invited to bring their paintings and share experiences of Maud Lewis. We will watch the 1976 "World Without Shadows" and the 1998 "The Illuminated Life of Maud Lewis."

Shannon Parker from the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia will discuss their experience of hosting the Maud Lewis house.

Ken Maher will talk about his experience playing Everett, Maud’s husband.

Nyna Cropas will share some of the details from her report on the Maud Lewis house.

And Nancy (Parker) Dick will be baking ginger cookies and serving tea in memory of her visit to Maud Lewis with her grandmother.

Ernest J. Dick, oral historian, husband to Nancy Dick and historian of sound and the moving image will curate the Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon discussions - and looks forward to hearing about the stories and memorabilia that you can bring.
