Memoir-inspired, this is an unflinchingly funny and honest recounting of a grieving husband’s journey to full-contact fatherhood in the aftermath of his wife's tragic death. A witty, wisecracking, action-oriented sportswriter Joe Warr (Clive Owen) finds himself ill prepared to be the single parent of a curious six- year-old, and a rebel teen from his first marriage. Coping with his own loss, Joe adapts the child-rearing philosophy he believes his family needs: "just say yes." With no rules, life is exuberant, instinctual, reckless—often on the verge of disaster. A confessional tale of fatherhood this intimately evokes the fragility and wonders of family life.
