Terry’s Warm up
Registration: Registration for this free running/walking event begins at 8:30 am. The run/walk begins at 9am. Waivers to be signed at registration.
Why you should come out? In preparation for the over 60 Terry Fox run’s scheduled across Nova Scotia on Sunday, we invite you to come and warm up with a walk or run with our guest of honour, Fred Fox.
We are very pleased to have our special guest, Fred Fox, as a part of this event. As Terry’s older brother, Fred had a front row seat to Canadian history as he watched Terry prepare for his Marathon of Hope and spent several days with him over that summer in 1980. From 1994 to 2001, Fred fulfilled the role of Provincial Director of the BC/Yukon Terry Fox Foundation Office. In 2010, he accepted the role of Manager of Supporter Relations for the Foundation, which links him directly to all volunteers and donors across Canada. Fred stays very busy travelling across Canada and sharing his memories and his message of hope about Terry and the Terry Fox Foundation.
