Local Wolfville filmmaker Aube Giroux will show her new documentary film, Modified. Modified is a story told through the eyes of the filmmaker and her late mother, Jali Giroux, a resident of Gaspereau. Their mother-daughter investigative journey asks why GMOs aren't labeled in food products in Canada and the US despite being labeled in 64 countries around the world. The film recently won the Best Film Audience Award at Lunenburg Doc Fest. The screening will be followed by a Q & A with the director and executive producer as well as a tasting of one of the recipes featured in the film. Audience-goers will also be gifted heirloom seeds saved by Jali Giroux.
