Three men who were best buddies as children return to their small-town NS home for the funeral of the fourth member of their youthful crew.
40 years on, the town is in bad shape economically and socially, but as the retirees (a hockey player, a lawyer and an engineer) reconnect, they see a way to rejuvenate their community and themselves. They will build an outdoor rink.
Negotiating the financial and political hurdles leads to a lot of laughs and a lot of lessons in life.
