A concert of solo instrumental music to celebrate the release of India Gailey’s album Lucid, and Sam Wilson’s EP, Into a Heart.
India Yeshe Gailey is a cellist, composer, and interdisciplinary artist based in Montréal. Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, she is currently pursuing her master’s degree in cello performance at McGill University. Her first album, Lucid, is a collection of new cello pieces united by a whimsical flora fauna colour world. Recorded by Ken Shorley and featuring Ellen Gibling on harp, the album features music by Liam Elliot, Adam Langille, Lucas Oickle, and India herself.

As a musician and composer, Sam Wilson’s ambition is to bring light and inspiration to the world through music and art. A guitarist with a background in jazz, she performs instrumental music that has been described as organic, nostalgic, and emotive. In addition to her solo project, Sam also leads The Evergreen Project and works in collaboration with other artists. Originally from Windsor, Ontario, Sam is now based out of Halifax. Her five track EP, Into a Heart, features her most recent solo compositions.
