Movie / Film All Ages
Event in Room: Studio-Z
Gopher Wood is a frantic throwback to genre movies of the 60's, 70's and 80's. It tells the tale of a deranged family of hillbillies dealing with the death of their beloved mother, a strange local cafe owner with a dark secret, and a group of friends trying to have a peaceful getaway but find themselves hopelessly out of their element.
The movie is propelled by an excellent cast which includes Miss Canada 2008 Shannon Smadella ( http://shannonsmadella.com/shannon/ ), Peter Bavis ("...Canada's answer to Philip Seymour Hoffman" according to Matt Mackinnon of Film ciruit.), Leslie dishslayer ( http://www.dishslayer.com ), Leslie Dawn Knowles ( http://www.lesliedawnknowles.com/ ), Claire Bavis ( http://www.clairebavis.com/ ) and many more up and coming talents.
