ARTsPLACE Scholarship Recipient 2017
Megan Hyslop Natural Clowning

Megan Hyslop, artist/scholar, Natural Clowning. My participatory program (one afternoon only) is part of my arts-based doctoral studies out of Concordia University. I have been investigating my experiences in theatrical clowning and land connection as a non-Indigenous woman living in Mi’kma’ki/Nova Scotia, how these have contributed to my own wholistic well being, and eventually, how this could be a well-being practice for others in the current Canadian context of decolonization and reconciliation. You are invited to attend the program for activities and participant dialogue via art mediums. We will be outdoors for part of the afternoon unless it is raining, so please dress for the weather.

Please note that for ethics purposes, this is an adults-only event; you will be invited to fill out a consent form so that the contents of the program could be included in my dissertation. I wish to thank ARCAC for their support and for choosing me for one of their 2017 scholarships.

FREE event.
