Theatre / Play
Presented by Just Us! Coffee Roasters Co-op
[email protected]
Doors open at 6:30pm
Considered by many to be the greatest tragedy ever written, King Lear sees two aging fathers – one a King, one his courtier – reject the children who truly love them. Their blindness unleashes a tornado of pitiless ambition and treachery, as family and state are plunged into a violent power struggle with bitter ends. See Ian McKellen’s ‘extraordinarily moving portrayal’ of King Lear.
A special event with this presentation! At 6pm in the theatre, Acadia Lifelong Learning and Prof. Anthony Harding will present an introduction to KING LEAR.
If you want to attend the lecture, please make sure you are there by 6pm. No latecomers will be admitted. We will open the doors again once the lecture is over (6:30).
