WhiteFeather Hunter & Carol Collicutt
An installation: Carol Collicut's work addresses the obsession with youth and beauty in modern society and the integration and use of science as the rejuvenator and preserver of organic life. Whitefeather's work is a collection of Chimera-like creatures inspired by scarecrows, mythical figures, voodoo dolls and dolls in general; materials used include human hair, bones, carcass, wax, antiques etc. The goal is to trigger superstition of life and death within the observer. Both bodies of work examine issues of life and death and play with the themes of attraction and repulsion.
