Our featured presentation is Mozart’s opera Don Giovanni, performed in Italian (with projected English translations), in concert, accompanied by piano. This is one of Mozart’s greatest operas, which he called a dramma giocoso (what we might call a “dramedy” — a mixture of comedy and drama). The music, of course, is astoundingly beautiful and the story is a compelling one of seduction, revenge, betrayal and the triumph of good over evil.
