Founded by Madrid born dancer and choreographer Maria Osende in 2004, the company has quickly established itself as a leading flamenco dance and music company in Canada. A power force of technique and artistry, Maria expresses herself with elegance and precision, delivering a beautiful and intense experience and adding a modern twist to the centuries old art form. Her background in classical ballet and her extensive experience working with some of the mayor choreographers of today contributes to her fresh and unique flamenco dance style. Accompanied by a stunning group of musicians and dancers, together they create original work, which is wonderfully enriched by the varied backgrounds of her musicians. They have performed extensively in Halifax and throughout the province of Nova Scotia, as well as New Brunswick and Quebec by invitation of the Spanish Embassy and recently at Vancouver’s International Flamenco Festival.
