Los Primos came to life at the Acadia University Jazz Camp in 1998 when the first group of music students came from Cuba. Los Primos has been building a bridge of friendship with Cuba ever since.
Augusto Enriquez and Jeff Goodspeed have created something new this summer. Eclecticus is Cuban music fused with just about everything else.
Augusto has traveled the world performing for 35 years and now has settled in Halifax. Jeff Goodspeed has just returned from 4 months in Cuba where he was featured in a special concert with the Cuban National Symphonic Orchestra performing his original music.
Together they have created an eclectic musical experience that features Augusto's three children. Alison has just finished high school and won a full scholarship to the Fountain School of Music and Dalhousie University. Augusto-Pedro has moved his classical guitar studies from Spain to Dal and has also received a full scholarship to the school of music. Alejandro will take a few weeks off from his busy schedule in New York City to help us out with our fundraising tour in support of new Los Primos Initiatives.
