Deep Roots Music Coop presents a Bringin' it Home Concert Series. A Touch of Celtic with HAWP and Fleur Mainville
HAWP is a Celtic ensemble that combines ancient traditions with modern musical approaches to create a sound truly representative of Celtic culture in the 21st century. Described as “great music and great entertainment” by CBC's Caitlin Crockard, HAWP's aim is to create a modern spectacle both inspiring and intriguing by taking the best of Canadian, Scottish and Irish culture and blending them into a mixture of high energy music and dance.
Fleur Mainville spiraled onto the east coast music scene with the celtic rock band MacKeel and with the release of MacKeel’s debut CD Plaid, the group was nominated for two East Coast Music Awards with the highest independent selling CD in the Maritimes. In 2002 the band parted ways and Fleur Mainville began her solo career. Mainville’s infectious music blend of electrifying traditional celtic folk and rock is engaging and best of all, appeals to fans of all ages.
